Hello everybody!

Welcome to the english part of my website. This website is made especially for my photographs. The website is originally in dutch, but to make things more easy to understand for my friends abroad, I made this page with instructions in english for my website. On the left side you can see the menu bar, where you can choose between several options.

If you click on the option Fotoboek (photobook), a new screen will open. From there you can have a look at several maps that contain my photographs.
If you click on Contact, you can leave your name, emailaddress and a message, and I'll try to give a reply as soon as I can.

About the option Nieuws (news), I will try my best to keep you up-to-date on this page as well.

If you like to leave a message, click the following link:

It's completely in english, so I won't do any complicated explanation :)

That's about it. I wish everybody lots of fun exploring my website.

About me:

My name is Rebecca Hiemstra. I live in Leidschendam together with my parents and I don't have any brothers or sisters. I'm 18 years old and my birthday is on June 17. In June 2008 I graduated from high school and currently I'm working parttime and following a study of Accounting.

I have 8 guinea pigs as pets and I will be placing photos of them on this site too. Their names are: Chippie, Nicky, Minnie, Amy, Yuki, Kimi, Suki and Nori. Unfortunantly in December 2008 Amy and Yuki passed away. Yuki passed away in her sleep and Amy was very ill. On February 7 my guinea Nicky passed away as well.. Sleep well my dear Amy, Nicky and Yuki..

Photography is my biggest hobby. I (almost) always take my camera along when I leave home. Two of my photos have been published in local newspapers (about chemical disposal and cars on fire in my neighbourhood). Here you can see the photo and article. Currently I'm making a lot of photos of landscapes, nature, macro, my guineas and around school. I'll try my best to place a lot of photo's in here.

Besides photography, Japan is my favorite interest. The culture really attracts me and I certainly would like to study the language. Here you see a picture of me reading manga (Japanese comic book).
